ЁЯУНAs of September 21, 2024, the Middle East has recorded an impressive 26% growth in international tourist arrivals during the first seven months of 2024, compared to the same timeframe in 2019. This surge, which includes Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Iran, establishes the region as the fastest-growing tourism market globally, reflecting a strong recovery and renewed confidence among travelers.

ЁЯУНAccording to data from the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), global tourism is experiencing a robust resurgence, with international travel reaching 96% of pre-pandemic levels. From January to July 2024, approximately 790 million tourists traveled internationally, marking an 11% increase from the previous year and only 4% below the figures recorded in 2019.

ЁЯУНThe tourism boom in Saudi Arabia can be largely attributed to its Vision 2030 initiative, which aims to diversify the economy beyond oil by introducing tourist visas and developing new attractions. This strategic approach has established the Kingdom as a prominent destination for international travelers.

ЁЯУНIn the UAE, tourism remains strong, particularly in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where continuous investments in hospitality and entertainment, bolstered by the lasting success of Expo 2020 Dubai, continue to draw visitors from around the globe.

ЁЯУНQatar has sustained its growth following the FIFA World Cup 2022, investing in infrastructure and promoting cultural and sports tourism to position itself as a year-round destination. Meanwhile, Oman is attracting eco-conscious travelers by emphasizing sustainable tourism and cultural heritage experiences, alongside the development of new luxury resorts and adventure offerings.

ЁЯУНKuwait is enhancing its tourism appeal through cultural initiatives, including new museums and family-friendly attractions that cater to Gulf tourists. Bahrain has also benefited from relaxed visa regulations and high-profile events such as the Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix, in addition to its rich cultural heritage.

Imtiaz Jaleel Leads a Demonstration of 12,000 in Mumbai: Police Step In to Disrupt AIMIM's 'Tiranga Rally', Leading to a Lathi Charge. A significant protest rally, spearheaded by AIMIM  and former Member of Parliament Imtiaz Jaleel, occurred in Mumbai on September 23-24, 2024. The event, named the "Tiranga Samvidhan Rally," was organized in reaction to purported hate speeches made by BJP MLA Nitesh Rane and preacher Ramgiri Maharaj, drawing participation from over 12,000 individuals across the Marathwada region. The demonstrators were halted at the Mulund Check Naka, as the Mumbai police had denied them entry into the city. In an effort to manage the crowd and avert any possible disturbances, the police employed a lathi charge and filed FIRs against several participants for obstructing highways. In spite of these clashes, Jaleel underscored that the rally's purpose was to peacefully advocate for action against hate speech and to remind the state government o...
